Amber Dawn Jeffrey and Oliver Eugene Snook were united in marriage on July 24, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend in a double ring ceremony officiated by Father Jerry Beat. Parents of the couple are Tully and Bonnie Jeffrey of Claflin and Stephen Snook and Connie Ashley of Great Bend. Grandmother of the bride is Juanita Jeffrey of Salina. The groom’s grandparents are Pearl White and Oliver and Carol Snook, all of Great Bend, and Louise Snook of Missouri.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a one-piece strapless, Maggie Sottero white rhapsody taffeta A-line gown with a scoop neckline and corset closure. The gown had side godet panels at alternating heights and featured asymmetrical pleating and embellished lace motifs with Swarovski crystals that scattered diagonally throughout the gown. The bride wore a tiara with crystals accented with pearls and a white two layer elbow length veil accented with crystal and rhinestone edging. She carried a  bouquet of fuchsia roses and cymbidium orchids.
Matron of honor was Lisa Chansler, sister of the bride, of Great Bend. Bridesmaids were Briann Miller of Wichita, Audrey Ney of Hoisington, Andi Long of Nickerson, and Tristan Utech of Herington.
Best man was Matt Suchy of Great Bend. Groomsmen were Joe Andrasek and Travis Andrasek, Brandon Chansler, brother in-law of the bride, all of Great Bend, and Steve Snook, brother of the groom, of Olathe.
Ushers were Travis Boltman, Kasey Higgins, and Casey Shuey, all of Great Bend.
Flower girl was Annabelle Lynn and ring bearer was Brady Smith, both cousins of the bride, of Wichita.
Candle lighters were Amber Nutt of Shawnee Mission and Jodi Musgrove of Great Bend.
Organist was Joyce Haberman of Great Bend. Vocalist was Lindsey Kraisinger of Topeka.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Claflin High School. She received her Associate of Science degree in 2005 from Barton Community College. She graduated from Kansas State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She is employed at Lincoln Elementary in Great Bend as a Success For All teacher.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Great Bend High School. He graduated from Barton Community College in 2002 with an associate’s degree. He is currently taking classes through Franklin University and working towards his bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is employed at Marmie Motors in Great Bend as the Chrysler parts manager.
After a honeymoon in Negril, Jamaica, the couple resides in Great Bend.
