Jamie Thurman and Brent Taylor were united in marriage on June 11 in Roeland Park, in a double ring ceremony officiated by Father Jerry Arano-Ponce. Parents of the couple are Craig and Mary Thurman of Great Bend, and Daryl and Jan Taylor of Alliance, Neb. Grandparents of the bride are Jim Thurman of Great Bend, and Bud and Betty Thompson of North Platte, Neb. Grandmother of the groom is Mona Smith of Alliance, Neb.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless slim A-line gown with sweetheart neckline, all over light ivory lace with beaded embellishments, over light silver satin, with a ruched light silver satin band wrapping the empire waist, and fastened at the back closure with a double bow. Her veil was finger-tip length with crystals. She carried a bouquet of all white and ivory flowers of peonies, roses, mini calla lillies, ranunculus, and tulips.
Maid of honor was Nicole Brune of Shawnee. Bridesmaids were Kristi Ingalls of Wamego, Katie Davis of Topeka, Sarah Taylor of Huntington Beach, Calif., Meaghan Neuberger of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Lindsay Hafner of Overland Park.
Best man was Chris Pranger of Sioux Fall, S.D. Groomsmen were Ricky Martinez of Lincoln, Neb., Doug Nielsen of Phoenix, Ariz., Jeff Wieting of Denver, Colo., Brett Williams of Omaha, Neb., and Ryan Thurman of Lawrence.
Ushers were Andrew Lloyd of Lincoln, Neb., Chad Leftwich of Phoenix, Ariz., Barry Watson of Salt Lake City, Utah, Andrew Brown of Lincoln, Neb., Dan Schwarzlander of Overland Park, and  Matt Travers of Omaha, Neb.
Flowergirl was Charlotte Reintjes of Kansas City, Mo. Ringbearer was Braden Healey of Lake Forest, Calif.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Great Bend High School. She graduated from Kansas State University in biology in 2003, and in 2007 from the  University of Nebraska Medical Center, dentistry. She is a dentist in Lee’s Summit Mo.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Alliance High School. He graduated from the University of Nebraska, accounting and finance in 2005. In 2009 he received his CPA. He is employed at St. Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park as controller of the Finance Department.
The couple reside in Overland Park.
