Student Library Assistant Madison Dombroski focuses on different Ellinwood High School seniors throughout the year to spotlight, and this will be featured in our Check It Out column. Today we have two Senior Spotlights: Regan Widener and Drake Hosman.
Regan Widener’s family members are Michael, Allison, Brynn and Anelle Widener. Regan would recommend the Bible as her favorite book, because it teaches you everything you need to know in order to live a happy life. Her favorite quote is “Just ridin’ the wave.”
Regan has been involved in volleyball for four years, basketball for three years, softball for one year, track and field for one year, National Honor Society for three years, FCA for one year, FBLA for one year, and Mystics for one year. Her favorite class is her work study, because she gets to shadow the physical therapy department at the hospital.
Regan’s plan after graduation is to play volleyball at Fort Hays State University, and get her bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Performance. After that she hopes to attend a grad school to become a physical therapist. We wish Regan a great year in her senior chapter!
Drake Hosman’s family members are Jennifer, Drew, Cooper and Gage Hosman. Drake’s favorite book that he would recommend is the Bible, because it is life changing. His favorite quote is “Don’t let the worries of tomorrow steal the joys of today,” Matthew 6:34. His advice for incoming students is don’t worry, be happy.
Drake’s favorite class is culinary arts, because cooking is fun and the food tastes good. Something that he learned from other students was how to take more than one chocolate milk from the lunch line. We wish Drake a great year in his senior chapter!
