Add a little color to winter’s gray and brown by creating a miniature garden in a terrarium in this kids program, “Mini gardening: Terrariums”, from 10 to 11 a.m. on March 3 at the Kansas Wetlands Education Center.
Container, plants and soil supplies will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring interesting small stones/rocks, small animal figurines or other objects for your miniature landscape. This class is for children ages six to 12. All children must be accompanied by at least one adult.
Because plants must be ordered one week ahead, the deadline to register is Feb. 21. Sign up at the Great Bend Recreation Commission by calling 792-2604. There is a fee for this class.
