Ambulance responds to SUV rollover

A rural Barton County man sustained possible injury Wednesday morning after the 2000 Nissan Xterra he was driving went off the road in the 300 block of NW 20 Ave.  J.B. Slater told dispatch the air bags had deployed, he had chest pains from the accident and he was unable to get out of the vehicle.

Barton County deputies responded at 7:10 a.m. and found the sport utility vehicle rolled in the east ditch. Great Bend Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service squads also responded. Slater refused treatment at the scene. He was wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.
