The Great Bend Noon Kiwanis Club will sponsor its 53rd-annual Pancake Day from 4-7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at the Expo One Building west of Great Bend on 10th Street. Pancakes, sausage and a beverage are $3. Tickets are available in advance from any Kiwanis club member or at the door.

Proceeds benefit worthy area projects throughout the year, said Kiwanis member Paul Maneth. He and Dr. Terry Turner are co-chairs of this year’s Pancake Day. Some of the sponsored events include the Jack Kilby Science Fair, Barton County Spelling Bee, Girls and Boys State, American Legion Baseball, Easter egg hunt and Halloween parade. Over 45 groups or events are sponsored by the club.
