Barton County deputies were dispatched to a one-vehicle rollover injury accident around 11:20 p.m. Thursday. They arrived to find a 1999 BMW driven by Great Bend-area resident David Lazarof, 22, in a ditch at NE 10 Ave. and NE 30 Road.
Investigation shows the vehicle had been northbound on NE 10 Ave. and entered the east ditch. The driver over-corrected and the car entered the west ditch, where it cartwheeled end-over-end twice and rolled once. Lazarof was transported by ambulance to Great Bend Regional Hospital, and was later transported to Wichita by ground ambulance due to injuries. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
