Author Rebecca Willman Gernon will visit the Great Bend Public Library, 1409 Williams, at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, to speak on the issue of “Two Sides of the Same Story: Deaf in a Hearing Family.”
Gernon is the co-author of “Amy Signs: A Mother, her Deaf Daughter and their Stories.” Written alongside her daughter, this memoir strives to enlighten and inspire its readers.
“Recommended reading for parents of deaf children and anyone interested in education, disability rights, and deaf culture,” says a reviewer for Library Journal.
