Barton Community College will host its fourth annual Sidewalk Art Contest April 19-21 on the sidewalk outside the College’s Shafer Gallery. The contest is open to artists, high school age and above, from Great Bend, Claflin, Ellinwood and Hoisington, and any home-schooled high school students in the Barton area. Artists wishing to participate must register and pick up their free chalk at the Shafer Gallery between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on any of those three days, but they must have their work completed by 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 21.
