Barton Silver Cougar Club to offer history course by Linda McCaffery

Barton History Instructor Linda McCaffery will teach a course via Barton’s Silver Cougar Club titled “The Great War of 1914 to the Great Depression,” 1:30-3:30 p.m. each Tuesday from Sept. 3 through Nov. 5 in room F-30 of the Fine Arts Building.
The course will discuss the United States’ eventual involvement in World War I and how the decision to declare war on Germany was especially troubling for Kansans with ties to Germany. The course will go on to examine the Roaring Twenties and the Great Depression.
