The Barton Community College Board of Trustees will be talking about property acquisition during a special meeting on Thursday afternoon. The preliminary discussion on real estate is being held in executive session to protect the public interest in obtaining a fair price. Changing the date of the board’s January business meeting is also on the agenda.
The special meeting will be in room F-30 of the Fine Arts Building and is expected to begin around 5:30 p.m. It will follow the board’s monthly study session, in which no action is taken.
The study session will start at 4 p.m. Items on the agenda include Grandview building addition, an update on legislative discussion in Topeka and Washington, D.C., flexible student registration, and campus security.
