Patricia M. Halseth, 41, of Great Bend, was transported to Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington on Sunday after the car she was driving slid off U.S. 281 near NE 60 Road in Barton County.

Kansas Highway Patrol reports Halseth was northbound in a 2007 Chevy at 1:55 p.m., and lost control of the car after passing another northbound vehicle at milepost 109, or 5.9 miles north of U.S. 56. The car slid sideways, entered the west ditch and rolled 1.5 times. Halseth, who sustained undetermined injuries, had been wearing a seat belt.

The Barton County Sheriff’s Office call log shows Hoisington Fire Department Ambulance responded and that the driver was initially trapped inside the car, identified as a Monte Carlo.
