Churches plan benefit suppers

Methodist churches in Great Bend and Claflin will host benefit suppers in the coming weeks.
King United Methodist Church, 1608 Odell St., Great Bend, will hold its Annual Benefit Soup Supper from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at the church. Freewill donations will be taken at the door for ham & beans, corn bread and relishes, cake and a drink. Carryout will be available.
Claflin United Methodist Church, 120 Third St., Claflin, will hold its 53rd Annual Groundhog & Pancake Supper from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at the church. Freewill donations will be accepted. Proceeds will go to the mission work of the church.
