Cartoonist, author and librarian C. Michael Hall will speak on the subjects of comics, graphic novels and their educational potential at 12:30 p.m., 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on the Barton Community College campus. The location of his programs has been moved to F-30, the Seminar Room of the Fine Arts Building.
Hall (www.cmichaelhall.com) is co-creator of the "Zombie Diary," which utilizes the comic book style of illustration and storytelling.
"Even if the reader isn’t a big comics fan, the fun, energy and design aesthetic of the comic book page makes it appealing," he said. "Information conveyed in comic form seems looser and more informal, which makes students less likely to tune out while reading."
Each of the free presentations will be approximately one hour long.
