Head coach contract renewals are on the agenda for the next Barton Community College Board of Trustees meeting. The board will meet at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Seminar Room, F-30 of the Fine Arts Building. Renewal of managements staff contracts and administrative contracts is also on the agenda. The board will also vote on extending the contract of Barton President Dr. Carl Heilman by one year.
Absent from the list of coaches’ names is Mike Warren, Barton’s baseball coach for 30 years. Warren announced his retirement in May. The board will be voting on new personnel and a head coaching contract for Brent Biggs as the next baseball coach.
Before voting on contract renewals, the agenda calls for an executive session, for discussion of personnel matters.
Other items on Thursday’s agenda are a monitoring report on Work Preparedness, and Employer Engagement Initiative Award presentations to St. Rose Ambulatory & Surgery Center, Ellsworth Correctional Facility, CUNA Mutual Retirement Solutions and Case-New Holland.
