Jam in Zoo also helped Arts Council

The “Zoo News” story in Thursday’s Great Bend Tribune should have noted that last Friday’s Jam in the Zoo was a fundraiser for the Barton County Arts Council as well as the Brit Spaugh Zoo’s zoological society. The event was held June 1, and the Nex-Tech Zoo Fest was Saturday, June 2.

Cell is treasurer candidate

Gayle Cell is a candidate for Barton County Treasurer. A run-off election between Cell and incumbent Kevin Wondra will determine which will be listed as the Republican candidate for the office in November. A story in Wednesday’s Great Bend Tribune incorrectly reported the candidate’s name as “Gayle Call.” The Tribune regrets the error.
