Crime Stoppers seeks info on truck that was stolen, burned

Crime Stoppers of Barton County and Great Bend is seeking information about the theft and destruction of a gray Chevy pickup from Great Bend.

Police Chief Dean Akings said the truck was stolen from 6001 Broadway Ave. around 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 21. At 3 a.m. on the 22nd, it was spotted by security cameras at Barton Community College. "This vehicle struck a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica, a green Jeep Cherokee and the fence at the ball diamond," Akings said. "Later this vehicle was found west of the city on 16th Street Terrace, fully engulfed by fire.
