Crime Stoppers of Barton County is seeking information about damage done to a generator at 1300 Stone St. in Great Bend, Police Chief Dean Akings said.

The generator, which belongs to AT&T, was damaged sometime between July 6 and Aug. 23. "Thieves cut 50 feet of 5-conductor copper cable and fled with the cable," Akings reported in a statement for Crime Stoppers. Loss was $5,000 and the generator is not functional at present.
