Dog hit with blow-gun darts

A cruelty to animals case was taken after a brown and white Shih Tzu dog was found on 10th St. with two blow gun darts stuck in its fur, around 2:20 p.m. Thursday. Seth Orebaugh with the Golden Belt Humane Society picked up the dog.

Orebaugh said the dog is an adult male and it was in good physical condition. Only one dart was in the dog when he arrived; it was removed from the right rib area. The dog has a registered owner but as of Friday the humane society had not been successful in contacting the person.
