Larry Robert Bates, 60, from Rogers, Texas, was injured when his semi-trailer went off a Russell County road at 11:10 a.m. Friday. Kansas Highway Patrol reports the right wheels dropped off the edge of U.S. 281 about 0.6 miles south of Paradise Road, and when the driver attempted to correct, the weight of hay bales caused the semi to be pulled down into the ditch where it rolled one and a quarter times. Rogers was taken to Russell Regional Hospital with undetermined injuries.

He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
