A McPherson man died Tuesday when the tanker truck he was driving went off U.S. 56 in Rice County and caught on fire. The highway was closed for several hours.
Kansas Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred just after 6 p.m., about 1.5 miles west of Windom. Clinton Koehn, 50, was driving west when the truck went off of the roadway onto the shoulder, struck a concrete culvert, overturned and caught fire.
