Food safety program announced

 

Donna Krug, FCS agent at Barton County Extension, will present a program on food safety at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Great Bend Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Ave. From food preparation to safely storing leftovers, there are some safety tips to consider during Food Safety Awareness Month. Handouts with recommended storage times will be shared.

Sunflower brings paper shredding to senior center

 

Sunflower Diversified will be at the Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Ave., from 9:30 to 1 p.m. Friday to shred papers for people. The cost of the shredding that day will be 35 cents a pound.
