A free Stop N Learn program titled “Know Your Credit” will be offered from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the Great Bend Activity Center, and again at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at the Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Ave.
The programs are hosted by the Great Bend Recreation Commission and presented by Jamie Rathbun, Ellsworth County Extension agent. Rathbun will share information about why managing one’s credit is an important life skill. Participants will learn what a credit score and report are and how to obtain each.  Five factors which affect a credit score will also be discussed.
Rathburn will also show how to set up automatic billing methods to ensure bills are paid before the due dates to avoid penalties and late fees.
For more information call the Recreation Commission office, 793-3755 ext. 2, or email recreation@gbrc.kscoxmail.com.
