All sorts of numbers are etched in our minds because we use them throughout our daily lives. But few people know the numbers that matter most – those numbers related to health. Great Bend Regional Hospital is offering an inexpensive way for members of the public to learn their health numbers at Spring Check-up Lab Fair, which will be held from 6-7:30 a.m. April 3 and 6 at GBRH.
By knowing your numbers, you can gauge your risk for health problems, treat illnesses as early as possible, make lifestyle changes and monitor your health progress, sponsors of the lab fair said. The added advantage of utilizing the lab fair, besides decreased costs for testing, is that results are not reported to the person’s insurance company.
The following testing will be available on both days: Comprehensive, CBC, Lipid, Thyroid Panel (T4 & TSH), Hemoglobin A1C, PSA, Blood Type, and Vitamin D. Fasting is recommended prior to testing. Lab Fair participants should use the east entrance of GBRH, located at 514 Cleveland, Great Bend.
