Girl Scouts in Great Bend will run cookie booths at two locations this week, according to Larissa Graham, area service manager.

Members will have cookies for sale from 4-8 p.m. today at Treaders Deli and Argonne Arcade, 1309 Main. The Girl Scouts are a United Way organization, and Treaders will donate 10 percent of its proceeds from 3-8 p.m. to United Way of Central Kansas.

Girl Scouts will also have a cookie booth at Walmart on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Graham said there are eight Girl Scout troops in Great Bend, for girls in grades K-12. They are selling cookies through Sunday, March 11. On Monday, March 12, they will celebrate the 100th birthday of the Girl Scout organization with an event from 6-7 p.m. at the south end of the courthouse square.
