Great Bend High School will honor veterans at 9:40 a.m. on Friday with an assembly. Student Council president Luke Abbott will lead everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance, and the GBHS Madrigals will sing the Star Spangled Banner. The GBHS Marching Panther Band will play Salute to Freedom and Salute to America’s Finest. The Jazz Band will play God Bless the USA. Mr. Dan Eyestone will give the history of Veterans Day and have a reading of Flanders Field. Mr. Radke will also give a short speech. The assembly will be held in the GBHS gym and the program is open to the public.
