The Great Bend Public Library announces an open call for artists for an exhibit in celebration of the June Jaunt. This show is open to any artist from Barton County, said Jennifer King, Young Adult/Marketing librarian.
The show is open to all type of art, with the exception of video/film. Artwork may be delivered to the library, 1409 Williams St., any time between 8 p.m. May 29 and 8 p.m. May 31. All artists must complete an agreement form with their submission. Forms are available at the library or on the website at www.greatbendpl.info.
Due to space restrictions only one entry per artist will be accepted.
“This is a great opportunity for area artists to showcase their work,” King said. “The opening weekend of the show coincides with the June Jaunt, so we are anticipating a high volume of people in the library to see all of the art on display. We hope this event is well-received by local artists and that we can start a new tradition here at the Great Bend Public Library.”
The show will officially open on June 1 in conjunction with area events celebrating the June Jaunt. This show will run throughout June. For more information contact Jennifer King at the library, 792-2409 or e-mail jking@ckls.org.
