Golden Belt Home Health & Hospice will sponsor a Tuesday evening grief support group in Great Bend from May 10 through July 5. It will meet each Tuesday from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Thelma Faye Harms Room in the basement level of St. Rose Ambulatory & Surgery Center, 3515 Broadway.

Hospice Chaplain John Grummon and GBHH&H Social Worker Cathy Soeken will facilitate the support group. "Guided by qualified facilitators, group members will provide support and healing for one another," Grummon said. "This setting becomes a safe place to share while doing the important work of mourning and learning new ways to approach problems."

Soeken added that all discussions are confidential. "Participants can feel free to share their feelings, thoughts and experiences. Sharing memories, photos or other mementos is welcome and encouraged. This is a good way to allow other group members to know more about the loved ones being mourned."

Anyone interested in attending the grief support group may contact Grummon for further details by calling 620-792-8171.
