Heartland Center for Spirituality in Great Bend will show the 2006 movie “Strike” at 6:15 p.m. Friday at the Dominican Sister Motherhouse, 3600 Broadway.  Refreshments will be served, and there will be discussion time after the movie. A freewill donation is requested.
“Strike” is based on a true story about a single-parent mother working in a shipyard in Poland. She courageously stands up to the Soviet Union and helps to inspire the Solidarity movement that helped Polish workers obtain better working conditions.
