Pumpkin Bash 2010 is going on now at the Great Bend Public Library, 1409 Williams St. Activities include a pumpkin decorating contest and a scavenger hunt.
Children are invited to pick up a pumpkin, decorate it with materials from home and bring it to the library by Thursday. Entries should not be cut or carved, said Eric Coulbourne, children’s librarian. Entry forms can be filled out at the library when pumpkins are submitted.
Entries will be judged in three categories: prettiest, scariest and most original.
The Halloween scavenger hunt will be from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the library. Children are encouraged to wear a costume and to bring a flashlight.
