Aaron Owen, 27, was flown to a Wichita hospital via air ambulance after an oilfield accident Monday morning. Owen was working at an oilwell pulling unit two miles west of Susank and 1.25 miles north (at NW 200 Road and NW 20 Ave.) when a pipe fell out of an elevator and landed on top of his head. He was conscious and suffering from a laceration on the side of his head when the accident was reported at 10 a.m.
A spokesman for Wesley Medical Center in Wichita said Owen was in critical condition Tuesday evening.
