Ralph Terry will talk baseball during hot-dog luncheon

The Recreation Commission will be serving grilled hot dogs and Ralph Terry will be talking baseball from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th St.
GBRC Program Coordinator Garet Fitzpatrick said Terry, the World Series MVP pitcher for the New York Yankees, will share some great baseball stories. In 12 seasons as a player, Terry posted a career record of 107-99 with 1,000 strikeouts, and a 3.27 ERA. He was also a two-time All Star, two-time World Series Champion and the winner of the 1962 Babe Ruth Award. Terry now lives in Larned.
Advance registration is required on Monday to attend the Wednesday program. The fee is $3. To register stop by the GBRC office at 1214 Stone Street, call 793-3755 ext. 2 or e-mail recreation@gbrc.kscoxmail.com.
