Four Rice County residents were injured when a car was rear-ended Saturday afternoon in Reno County, the Kansas Highway Patrol reports.
The accident occurred at 12:30 p.m. at K-14 and 56th Ave., four miles south of Nickerson. Both cars were southbound on K-14.
A Ford Contour driven by Maxine M. Eidson, 68, of Sterling, was stopped as she waited to make a left turn. It was struck by a Ford Focus driven by Sarah A. Poe, 18, of Lyons.
Eidson and passenger Harland G. Johnson, 66, also of Sterling, along with Poe and passenger Kylee N. Ingram, 20, also of Lyons, were taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center with undetermined injuries. All were wearing seat belts.
