Six people were taken to Great Bend Regional Hospital following a one-vehicle rollover at 12:01 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Liberty Road.
The Barton County Sheriff’s Office reports that Ryler L. Bass, 24, of Ellinwood was driving the 2000 Chevrolet Silverado when he lost control of the vehicle on a curve. It slid sideways and struck the grader berm, rolling on its side three-quarter times. Bass said he lost control due to soft sands and not being familiar with the road.
Although everyone was transported to GBRH, only Bass and two of his passengers, Michelle Cavender, 34, and Joshua Graves, 27, both of Great Bend, reported injuries initially.
