Three people were injured Saturday night when the pickup they were riding in went off a Stafford County road.

The driver of the 1976 Ford pickup, Kodey S. Claussen, 15, of St. John, was not injured. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports Claussen was driving west on NW 20th St., which is 2.9 miles west and two miles north of the U.S. 50/U.S. 281 junction in Stafford County, at 10 p.m. He lost control of the pickup on a curve. The vehicle entered a private drive and rolled two times, coming to rest upright.

The injured passengers were all taken to Stafford County Hospital. They were: Emily Hook, 16, and Haley Hook, 14, both of Sterling, and Jayton Burns, 17, of St. John.

None of the people in the pickup were wearing seat belts.
