Stun gun stops charging dog

A Great Bend pet owner was issued citations Wednesday after his dog charged at a police officer.
The officer was dispatched to 1430 16th St. at 8:13 p.m., for a report that a pit bulldog had charged at a child. When the dog charged at the responding officer, it was shot with an electronic control device.
The owner was present and put the dog inside. He was cited for dog at large and vicious animal.
