The Great Bend Recreation Commission will host a free program, “Summer Safety for the Family,” at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Carl Soden Recreation Center, 1214 Stone St.
Program Coordinator Garet Fitzpatrick says, “With summer upon us, children and adults will be spending more time outside.  This program will provide children and adults some awareness tips and strategies in order to protect themselves from assaults and other situations.  This program is for all ages, but children must be accompanied by an adult.  Detective Heather Smith will be the presenter for this program.”
