Tickets for the “Barton County’s Got Talent” dinner theater to benefit Habitat for Humanity go on sale Thursday, Dec. 5. They will first be available when the non-profit organization hosts the Chamber of Commerce Coffee at 9:30 a.m. at the chamber office, 1125 Williams.
The fifth annual event is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 25, at Grace Community Church, and includes a gourmet three-course meal before a talent showcase from a variety of volunteer performers in the Barton County area.
Two types of tickets are on sale for the popular fundraiser. Patrons can enjoy the dinner at 6 p.m. and the talent show afterward for $30 per person, or they can come for the performances at 7 p.m. for $15. Between the tickets sold to over 500 spectators, private donations, business sponsorships, and a small silent auction with items from local artists, the event is anticipated to generate over $18,000 for the local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity.
Anyone interested in purchasing tickets or confirming a tax-deductible sponsorship/donation for the nonprofit organization should contact event organizer Rachel Mawhirter, 620-786-4896 or habitatbartoncounty@hotmail.com. Tickets are also available at the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce.
