Touched by Cancer Support Group will change from its regular schedule for the next two months, spokesman Dana Foss said.The group usually meets from 2-3 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month, and at 5:45 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month, at Heartland Cancer Center, 204 Cleveland, Great Bend.However, the first meeting of the month will change to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, and Wednesday, Dec. 4.The speaker/discussion meeting at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, will focus on prostate clinical trials. The speakers will be Cathy Huber, R.N., clinical research nurse, and Roger Dick, a prostate cancer survivor who is currently involved in a clinical research prostate cancer trial. Questions and answers will follow.The speaker at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, with be Dr. Robin Durrett.Meetings and activities are open to everyone currently fighting the disease, cancer survivors, or families and friends of those involved in all phases of the illness.
