Trailblazer vandalized, stereo stolen

Crime Stoppers is seeking information about damage done to a Chevy Trailblazer at 717 Cooledge, Apt. 13, sometime between 8:30 p.m. last Friday and 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. According to Great Bend Police Chief Dean Akings, the driver’s window was broken out, the hood opened and battery cables cut. An Alpine 2000 watt amp and a Memphis 12-inch sub box were stolen. Loss and damage totaled $1,700.

"If you heard glass breakage or a car alarm this night, or have information about this crime, please call 792-1300 or 888-305-1300," Akings said. "Remember, we don’t want your name, just your information."

Crime Stoppers accepts anonymous tips about any crime. Another incident under investigation is a burglary that occurred between noon on Feb. 23 and noon on Feb. 29 at 1521 Jefferson St. In that case an air conditioner was stolen from the residence and the wiring was damaged.
