A Stafford man and a Missouri woman died in a Christmas Eve collision on U.S. 166 in Chautauqua County.
Kansas Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred at 12:55 p.m. Tuesday, 2 miles south of Sedan. Linda Jo Creamer, 67, of Willard, Mo., was westbound in a Hyundai Sonata when she attempted to pass, lost control and went into the eastbound lane. Her vehicle struck an eastbound Buick LeSabre driven by Phillip T. Schulz, 68, of Stafford. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
