A passenger in a 2002 Volkswagen Beetle that went of U.S. 283 early Monday in Hodgeman County was seriously injured, Kansas Highway Patrol reports.Alfonso Cardenas, 21, of Fremont, Neb., was taken to the Hodgeman County Health Center in Jetmore and later flown by Lifeflight to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. A hospital spokesman said he was in fair condition Monday evening. The accident occurred at 12:10 a.m. Monday on U.S. 283, approximately seven miles north of Jetmore.
