Wetlands educator to present Wild Romance

The Great Bend Recreation Commission will host “Wild Romance,” a free Stop ‘N Learn session, from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th St. The program will be repeated at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at the Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Ave.
From frogs to falcons, love is in the air. Spring is almost around the corner, which means it’s almost mating season for the wildlife at Cheyenne Bottoms. Jean Aycok, an educator at the Kansas Wetlands Education Center, will talk about mating calls and rituals of many of these fascinating critters.
