A Smith Center woman was taken to Ellsworth County Medical Center on Sunday afternoon after losing control of a car on K-14, six miles north of Ellsworth.

Mariah Bennett, 19, was driving north when the 1995 Mercury went off the shoulder, at 1:45 p.m. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports she swerved back onto the road, causing the car to go out of control and flip into a ditch.

Bennett was wearing a seat belt.
