Zoo changes Earth Day event

Great Bend-Brit Spaugh Zoo is still planning an Earth Day celebration on Friday, but it will not be showing a movie as announced earlier, Zoo Director Scott Gregory said. The zoo will reopen at 6 p.m. Friday for this after-hours event. This event is now free to the public.

"We will still have crafts for the kids, and popcorn, but no movie," Gregory said, noting the zoo staff learned it could not show the Disney-Nature film "Oceans" because of copyright laws.
