There are many exciting things planned for 2015 at Ellinwood School/Community Library. The Smithsonian Exhibit, “Hometown Teams” will begin January 30th with a Chamber Coffee.  Be watching for the various activities scheduled with this event.
“Treasure Your Library” StoryTime has begun for our second session of the school year. Miss Michele and Miss Julie have several fun, educational activities prepared for our little ones.
Second Graders in Miss Marshall’s class and Mrs. Cain’s class got a special reward for good behavior. The top four students from each class were able to use the library’s Wii U in the gym. Thanks to Cody Woodruff and Stephanie Robl for their assistance with this activity!
We would like to thank USD 355, Ryan Koetter, and Tyson Revell for purchasing and updating our technology. Our computers, computer tables, software, and server have all been upgraded. We are now in the process of updating our database. When you come in to the library, we will be asking for your current e-mail address, and checking to make certain that we have all of your information correct. As of Dec. 31, all fines prior to this date have been forgiven. If you had material checked-out that became overdue since this date, a fine may have occurred. Please check with our staff to see if you have any obligations. We will begin sending emails to our patrons sometime next week, and this will continue on a regular basis.
PAC is sponsoring Book BINGO Jan. 16, 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Ellinwood School/Community Library. Please bring a (new or gently used) book to be placed on the prize table. Everyone will be a winner. A small snack will be provided. All sized families are welcome!
