ELLINWOOD — At Tuesday’s regular meeting, the Ellinwood City Council approved installation of Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI). The first half of the AMI installation will begin in early 2021.

The council also approved a bid of $9,000 from RDG to conduct a housing study for the city.

In other matters, the council approved a request from the Ellinwood Chamber of Commerce to use the Wolf Park/Bandshell for the annual Christkindlmarket. The council authorized City Manager Chris Komarek to submit a request for quotes to replace the fire department building that was destroyed in a vehicle accident on Oct. 6.
