Injury crash sends two to hospital

The Kansas Highway Patrol responded to an injury crash at 1:15 p.m. on Monday, 5 miles west of Hoisington at the K-4 and U.S. 281 junction.
According to the KHP, a 2013 Dodge driven by James Cornwell, 78, of Hoisington was southbound on U.S. 281 and failed to yield to oncoming traffic. A 1994 GMC driven by James Waldrop, 64, of Guild, Tenn., was westbound on K-4 and struck Cornwell’s vehicle on the driver’s side.
Both drivers were wearing their seat belts and taken to Clara Barton Hospital for their injuries.
