LARNED — The Grand Opening of Larned’s State Theater at its 617 Broadway location happened on April 6, 1949, and the original movie that played was “Don’t Trust Your Husband / An Innocent Affair.” On Saturday, April 6, the theater celebrates its 70th birthday at 1:30 p.m. with a short program, cake and refreshments.  At 2 p.m., the theater will once again present the movie for the same admission charged in 1949, 50 cents for adults and 12 cents for children 11 and under.  A small antique car display in front of the theater will provide a historic photo opportunity.
