Splash pad on city council's agenda

Larned’s City Council will have a special session at 6:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall, 417 Broadway. One agenda item is a review of the donation policy for a splash pad/Doerr-Vernon Park renovation. Other items include: Santa Fe Street Improvement District, review and approval of the Efficiency Kansas Loan Program Partnership, review and awarding of a bid for a hydraulic impact tool for the city’s fire hydrants, designation of city representatives for the upcoming League of Kansas Municipalities Annual Business Meeting;

Also, review and award bid for engineering design and inspection for a water-main project, an ordinance requiring street numbers on buildings, designation of Farmers Bank and Trust as a city cdepository, and an ordinance updating the Standard Traffic Ordinance.

In the category of old business, the council will consider appraisal of the former National Guard Armory and a Kansas Corporation Commission Public Facilities grant agreement. City Manager Don Gaeddert is expected to give a report.
